Devin Cooley is the best reason to back Calgary here. His .920 SV% over his last 5 starts is elite-level goaltending, and he's been the backbone of a 4-1 run that includes regulation wins over Toronto and Detroit — two legitimate opponents. CGY is 5-2 overall and playing with genuine confidence. With Cooley locked in, Calgary doesn't need to outscore Edmonton; they just need to stay within a goal, and +1.5 gives them a full extra cushion to work with.

Edmonton at home with a desperate need to stop the bleeding is a real factor. The Oilers are 4-3 overall and their offense has shown it can erupt — a 6-5 win and a 6-2 blowout in their last five prove the firepower is there. CGY is also missing Jonathan Huberdeau and Samuel Honzek on the left wing, which dents their offensive depth. If Edmonton's skaters get rolling early and chase Cooley, the -1.5 becomes very coverable for a team with this much upside.

CGY +1.5 at -142 implies roughly 59% probability for the underdog covering. That's steep juice for a +1.5 dog, but the goalie mismatch justifies it. Sharp money appears to be on Calgary.
