Responsible Gambling
Gamble Responsibly
DEBATER is a research tool, not a sportsbook. We want to be clear about the risks of sports betting and where to get help if you need it.
Gambling should be entertainment
Sports betting carries real financial risk. No analysis tool — AI-powered or otherwise — can reliably predict the outcome of sporting events. AI output can be wrong, outdated, or misleading. Never bet money you cannot afford to lose, and never treat DEBATER’s output as a guarantee of any outcome.
Warning signs of problem gambling
Gambling may be becoming a problem if you find yourself:
- Betting with money you need for bills, food, or other essentials
- Chasing losses by placing larger or more frequent bets
- Lying to family or friends about gambling activity
- Neglecting work, school, or personal relationships to gamble
- Feeling anxious, irritable, or depressed when not gambling
- Borrowing money to fund gambling
Set limits before you bet
- Decide on a fixed budget before placing any wagers and stick to it.
- Use deposit limits and self-exclusion tools offered by licensed sportsbooks.
- Take regular breaks. Continuous gambling impairs judgment.
- Never bet under the influence of alcohol or substances.
